Jason Gesser


Jason John Gesser is an American college football former coach born in 31 May, 1979. He is a former player, former assistant Athletic director for major gifts at WSU (Washington State University).

Jason Gesser was earlier the interim head coach, offensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator for the Idaho Vandals of the Washington State University. He played for Washington State University under head coach Mike Price. Gesser played for the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League, Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian football league and more. By the time, he was originally hired at Idaho as running backs coach in June 2011.

In 120 years of Washington State Football, the Cougars have never had more success than they did in late 90s and early 2000s. Jason Gesser and his head football coach Mike Price combined their considerable talents to accompany in the Golden Era of Cougar football. They become the most successful coach in school history. They both won 24 games together. 

14 years later, Gesser presently works for the Cougars Athletic Department in a fundraising capacity, and the now-retired Price, find them back at Washington State together (WSU). In a halftime ceremony at Martin Stadium the WSU vs. Idaho game, they were welcomed onto the field as two of the seven latest members of WSU’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Gesser and Price have traveled together as leading WSU to its last Rose Bowl Game were shaped with twists and turns, but the road has finally led them both back to Washington State, where the Cougars tribute them as athletic legends for all of posterity.In February 2019 Jason Gesser was hired as the quarterbacks' coach at Wyoming under fourth-year head coach Dave Christensen.
